We are a structural steel fabricator with a 20,000-sq.ft. fabrication shop located in Starke, Florida.
Division 5 Steel, Inc. is a mid-sized structural steel fabricator servicing successful contractors and construction managers on their projects in the Southeast.
Our customers not only place value on the steel we provide but on our focus of a TEAM approach to every project. We assist many of our customers from the preliminary phase, helping with budgets and economical design, through any on-site issues that may arise. Working closely with engineers and architects, we help our customers surpass the expectations of their customers.
In addition to our traditional customers, we are also a trusted partner to many larger steel fabricators. As an AISC certified fabricator, we maintain a high quality of standards and have been proven to meet and exceed the expectations of those in our trade.
The 5-Step Process

Estimating / Budgeting
After being given design drawings and a request to bid a project, we assign an estimator to identify and price all of the structural steel products required to meet the design, local codes, and standards.

Project Management
Once awarded, and throughout the life of your project, you will have a project manager assigned to your project. They are responsible for ensuring that your project is on track and walked smoothly through each phase of construction while minimizing the headaches through open communication.

Detailing/drawings & placement plans
From being awarded the project, our detailers take the design drawings and focus in on the structural steel portion of the project. Using 3D modeling and steel detailing software, our detailers can "drill-down" to our products within the design, allowing us to identify areas or conflicts between our products and other trades. Utilizing our RFI (request for information) and approval process, together with the project's design team, we can help identify and solve problems early, avoiding downtime on the job site impacting schedules and budgets.

Fabrication
Using approved steel fabrication drawings, our shop will cut, layout, and accurately assemble steel materials into the columns, beams, and various elements required to support the structure or framing of the building(s). Our welding is completed by AWS Certified welders, and all finished assemblies are checked for quality and accuracy throughout the stages of fabrication.

Erection / Installation
Using approved steel placement plans, our erectors will assemble and install the steel structure(s) in the field accurately and safely. Our field welding is completed by AWS Certified welders in a timely and professional manner. Any discrepancies found in the field are brought to the attention of our project manager and are either solved or sent to the attention of the design team. The design team will discuss and come up with an acceptable, timely, and cost-effective resolution, so as to minimize any downtime on the project.
